going, going, gone!!

yippee!! christmas has finally passed. our family celebrated all day long at jamie & dave's house this year. we had a great time playing with our new gifts as well as with brandons.
for your viewing entertainment, i thought i'd post a chris
tmas past picture . . . (me, jamie, kristin & kelly)

along with a christmas present picture . . . (me, krsitin, kelly & jamie)

oh and where to begin on all of the cool toys brandon got this year . . . a tricycle, books, soccer & footballs, tonka cars, lifeguard elmo, a picnic table, a basketball hoop and so much more!! needless to say, dave was exhausted from putting together all of brandon's new toys.

by the day's end we were all stuffed from dinner and too many cookies!

the following day, jessie, joe, ava and myself met an old friend, renee, for dinner at macaroni grill. it was wonderful to see renee and reminisce about the wild trips jes & i would take down to springfiled to visit ne and her roommate, laura. after dinner, we went back to joe's house for an ass-whipping in texas hold 'em.

here's good ole ne having some baby time with ava. it only took her 12 weeks, but renee was happy to finally have a chance to meet and hang out with ava.

now that the holidays are done and just about over with come tomorrow, life should hopefully be getting back to somewhat normal. i will be spending new year's eve at where-else, but imo's. to the rest of you who will be out celebrating, be safe and have a great time! happy new year to ya all!!

happy frickin holidays

once again, i have taken my sweet candy ass time in updating with the ole blog. do not fear though my fine feathered friends, i am here to amuse your wondering minds. as you all know, christmas is tomorrow and also, you all know how much i hate the holidays. so i am not thankful for it's arrival but anxious for it's departure.

so with the usual riff-raff out of the way, i'm sure you're just dying to know what the latest gossip on the block is. for starters . . . congratulations to jessie & joe!! they were married on december 7, 2005. surrounded by family and a handful of friends, they chose a courthouse marriage in clayton. the officiate, being that the ceremony lasted only 10-15 minutes, was able to make their day quite special and personable. jes, joe and all we quite pleased with her. the judge invited all of us up to the front to surround them and "cheer them on." she even welcomed people to take pictures and speak up for joe if he failed to say his "i do" which he obviously didn't need any help doing.

i still watch, i mean hang out, with brandon on tuesdays. he's got quite the impressive vocabulary these days: mommy, dada, hot, uh-oh and something close to sounding like the neighbor's dog, brutis. how awesome is that?

marshall and i still have a few presents to wrap before tomorrow comes. he's quite helpful when it comes to walking across the damn wrapping paper. plus, i still have to get in about five more hours of a christmas story on tbs . . . god love the marathon they do every year. it's the only christmas movie i'll come close to giving the chance of day.

merry christmas!

stacy & marshall

. . . can you tell, marshall's tired of all the christmas hoop-la too!!

me, procrastinate?

uh, sorry...i completely suck at keeping my blog updated. not too much is really going on in my never-so entertaining life. however though, i thought i'd just post a few pictures for your viewing enjoyment. so...enjoy!

finally, after two plus-plus weeks of
trials and tribulations, craig succeeded with the damn toilet installation. this is what i had to live with for 2-3 days.
and this is her now...isn't she hot!!

in preparation for thanksgiving, i joined jamie and brandon in grocery shopping. brandon was such a little dear, he was kind enough to help put away the groceries when we got home.

and later that night, jamie getting brand-o's bedtime bottle ready.

on my days off, which are few and far between, i try to visit with jessie and ava. ava is getting so big, i can't believe she's already 8 weeks old! i think jes said ava weighs around 10 pounds and let me tell ya, this girl has got the chubbiest cheeks, too!

and finally, thanksgiving. brandon woke from his afternoon nap and headed right over to michael and kristin for some attention-because the kid's so neglected, ha! our family had an enjoyable thanksgiving this year...we even managed to play a game together without having one of our infamous cat fights!

well, the pass of turkey day means only one thing...freakin' christmas is right around the corner. oh yeah, i am so excited...do you sense sarcasm? because if not, you should, a mondo spoonful of it. anyway, i hope all had a great thanksgiving and we'll chat soon.

inside satan's play-pen

so i pretty much have the digital camera thing all figured out. she didn't give me nearly as much trouble as i had initially thought, thank god!

today i spent the day with brandon, oh the fun we had...

first there was breakfast, mmm. . .waffle sticks and kix cereal. next was playtime, followed by my absolute favorite thing, naptime. we both got in a good 1-1/2 hour nap this morning, boy was that refreshing. then came lunch, yuck. . .green beans, fishsticks and yogurt!!

later in the day we went for our afternoon constitutional; well, i walked while brandon drove his pimped out convertible, with custom plates. then it was naptime once again. this time, a certain someone was completely anti-nap, which made for a somewhat crabby hour, which explains the satan's play-pen title.

not too long after crabby time, dave & jamie came home from work and brandon was once again a little dear.

what excuse

so it's been days, alright fine, weeks since i last posted. i can't help it that my life is so demanding. fine, i lied...it's just pure laziness.

so after months of agony, target has finally arrived, and boy, is she hotter than ever!! that store is so freaking sweet! it's pretty much like a mini-mall and you could spend the whole freaking day in there. i've only been there twice. the first visit was just insane! jamie and i went one day after their official grand opening and you would have thought it was like christmas and the whole damn store was on sale. there were hardly any carts...primarily due to the cart escalator that kicks ass!! you literally ride on the people escalator with your cart on the one over, how cool is that!! oh target, how i've missed you!

jessie and joe's little girl, ava, is already 3 weeks old! i visited with them the other day and ava is such a sweetheart. she's really good at spitting up and making faces. click on jessie & joe's link to the right to see the latest pictures of ava.

i got a surprise visit from my sister, kristin, at work yesterday. her mind is officially made up and she will be moving to atlanta this february to be with michael. i really wish she wasn't going, but it's what will make her happy and hopefully she'll find new opportunities. plus, michael is a great guy who we all love and know will help take care of her. however, the big question remains, dun-dun-dun...will kelly go with her?

after literally years of false hope and promises, craig has finally put in a new toilet in my bathroom (well sort of). i'd like to say she's everything i've ever dreamt of, but sadly, she's been a lot more hassle than thought. as of today, thursday, i'm on day 3 of no working toilet. do you know what it's like to not have a working bathroom in your house!! luckily, i'm at work more than at home! craig will be over later tonight to finish the job. so help me god, if i have to go another night without a bathroom, something's going to hit the fan and i think you know what i mean!!

oh, and i've finally broken down a bought a digital camera, a sony cybershot. oh the fun this ought to bring!! stay tuned for pictures...

the happy family

as promised, here are a couple pictures of ava, jessie & joe. i finally was able to meet the little girl tonight; all i have to say is what a doll! she is absolutely beautiful! jessie & joe are glad to be home and look forward to parenthood.

you two are gonna have your hands full with this little girl!

it's a girl...no really, i mean it this time!

CONGRATULATIONS to jessie and joe, ava elizabeth was born this evening...two weeks early! i only know a few details: ava weighed in at 7lbs & 3oz, 20 1/2in and was born at 6:43pm! unfortunately, i won't be able to make a trip to st. john's to visit them due to my grueling work schedule, but plan on meeting her soon.

jes had called me around 7:30 this morning saying she was pretty sure her water had broke and the she was starting to have contractions. when she called back around 11:00 in the afternoon, she was already at the hospital and 3cm dilated. i talked later with joe around 4:30 and he said she was at 6cm and had just gotten her epidural...which jes said was the best thing ever! jes then called me at work at 7:15 saying ava had arrived and all were healthy and happy! i last talked to joe around 9:30 tonight, he said jessie and ava were sleeping and that the day was just amazing.

stay tuned...hopefully, later in the week i'll be able to post a few pictures of ava.

to the old lady...

today is my darling sister, jamie's birthday. yes, it was 28 years ago that, if you will, wonderful sister of mine was brought into this world. and since i absolutely love embarrassing the living hell out of her, i thought what better way than this...taken on her 8th birthday. and how about that nightgown, rainbow bright rules!!

hey, at least mom was able to spell "happy birthday" correctly on jamie's birthday cake. *poor little kristin's name was spelt "kristn" on her cake one year. i must say though, mom's cake writing ability wasn't the greatest, but she sure made a fantastic birthday cake!

so here's to jamie, HAPPY BIRTHDAY and i look forward to celebrating on saturday with you, dave, brandon, kristin & kelly.

I LOVE YOU!! (even if you won't say it back, ya snot)

*correction: dear mom spelt kristin's name "kritin"

houston, we have a home

and then there was one...yes my friends, marshall no longer has a step brother. my signs worked and about an hour ago the owner contacted me, well actually the owner's father-if you want to get technical, the pooch belongs to his son. apparently, ozzie (this dog is not an ozzie) lives only a block and a half away. his family just got a new fence (hope they didn't spend too much on it, because it obviously isn't serving it's purpose) and ozzie was able to pop open the latch and make a break for it.

so here sits marshall, peacefully back on his couch without the disturbance of an intruder. the need for dominace has passed...because marshall's such a hard ass. i told the owner he needs to feed his pup a lot more (he claims he's just really active, yeah-no) and get some tags or at least a chip put in him.

my job here is done.

uh, it's a boy...part 2

ok, so the arrangements for when i went to work were: marshall in the living room, as usual and founders in the bedroom. as most of you already know, marshall has hip-dysplacia; therefore, he's not a jumper. well, color me stupid, because a-duh, this boxer is straight off the trampoline. i come home and marshall is resting peacefully on his spot on the couch. founders, on the other hand, has managed to jump in my clothes basket in his valiant attempt to get a look through the window and mangle my blinds in my bedroom, not to mention setting up camp in my bed by throwing a few pillows on the floor, what the shit? hey, at least he's house-broken!

i also had a message from someone at the apa. she informed me that billy at the maplewood location could help me out if that's the area i was calling from. guess what, it's not. some help they are.

i did however, get to have an actual conversation with someone from boxer rescue
. i gave her a full physical description and what his mannerisms were like. i told her that i should be able to hold on to him for a few days. she said that would be fantastic due to all of their foster homes no-vacancies.

i posted about 10 signs last night after work, but of course, i ran out of tape; more will be going up today. keep your fingers crossed people!

Monday, September 12, 2005

uh, it's a boy

no morons, i'm not prego. it seems as though (for the time being) marshall has a brother. while basking in the yard today, a wondering dog found his way over to marshall. i went outside to see what all the commotion was about and found a purebred boxer hanging out in my driveway. he came right up to me without hesitation. unfortunately, the little guy only had a collar...no id tag. i wasn't about to turn him away, so i let him in the house. he and marshall sniffed each other for a bit then came to some type of peace, i think-well, at least no one's dead, yet.

so, thus begins my laborius search to find where this little guy belongs or what the devil i'm supposed to do with him.

step #1 humane society -- called their lost & found number; all of our their voicemail boxes are full. no surprise with the intake from katrina and all. called back on the main line, surprise, surprise, all people are busy, please leave a message, done.

step #2 animal protection association -- couldn't get an actually person to save my life. left a message in two different people's voicemail.

step #3 dr. lux, marshall's vet -- told me to bring the little guy in and they'll check him for a microchip. after literally fighting marshall for the use of his leash on 'founders' (as we'll call him) and loading him into the the car, we arrive at dr. lux's. can you say, i should have known? of course, founders is without a chip. i spoke a little more with the vet tech and she informed me that he's somewhere around 3 years old, neutered (duh) and slighty mal-nutritioned. she said i could keep him, post signs, drop him at a shelter, blah, blah, blah.

well, i'm not about to turn him over to a shelter that's just going to euthanize him. i've made and started posting signs. i've tried calling two no-kill shelters and searching the internet for boxer rescue...both of which have led me to more voicemail boxes.

so here i sit with another dog in my ever so retardedly small house. marshall weighing in at 65 lbs. and founders rounding out somewhere around 55-60 lbs. if any one has ANY suggestions, please, for the love of my sanity, help me!! oh, god...i just got called into work for someone and will have to leave in about 30 minutes and am afraid of what i may be coming home to tonight. help me...(long, yet calm pause)...help me-help me-help me (one quick breath & now freaking out)!!!

s.o.s.

(save our stacy)

random bits

woo-hoo...gas is down a whole freaking 30 cents! how's that for exciting. thankfully, i live less than 3 miles from work and am surrounded by almost all of my necessary shopping. (come on october 9th, i need my new hampton target">Link to re-open, oh how i miss you, i hate lindbergh people!!) considering the last time i fed the (trail blazing) beast, she ate a whopping $56.00 worth of gas. i must say, my nephew brandon, is really lucky he's so darn cute and fun to hang out with; otherwise, my trips out to jamie & dave's house-in the middle of nowhere-would only happen it they started slipping me a few jackson's.

marshall and i took a trip to petsmart
">Link the other day. oh, how he just loves to frolic down the aisles and 'test' out all of the toys. funny though, the one he picks out, when we bring it home, he just ignores it, the spoiled brat with his damn green beans.

and for all you family guy lovers who enjoy having sexy parties...

...this is for you!

what a little hottie

for those of you who have never had the pleasure of meeting my nephew, brandon, here's a picture of the cute little guy. the fam just celebrated brandon's 1st birthday, august 26th. what a fun couple of days: celebrating with chuck e cheese">link, a family party at suson park">link, cake and so many presents...oh, to be a kid again! i am absolutely loving watching this little guy grow up. i can't wait to see what the next years bring...perhaps another nephew or niece (no pressure jamie & dave)!!

that's one hot dog...

introducing...marshall, my ever so retarded dog! hobbies include, but not limited to chasing bugs, barking at the air, sleeping and triumphant attempts to catch his tail. talk about a 'ruff' life. hey, i warned you things can get pretty boring around here!!
